We started TravelInsuranceReview.co.uk because we were fed up with the terrible results we got when searching online for travel insurance reviews 😩

We'd look for helpful information about a particular travel insurance company, only to be confronted with:

  • Meaningless star ratings (have you noticed how insurance companies always get rated either 5 stars or 1 star? What's with that? 🤷)
  • 1000s of random comments, reflecting one person's experience ("Bumpy start to my claim but once Mark got involved it was plain sailing" Errrr, thanks I guess? 😐)
  • Bloated articles full of irrelevant filler content ("We recommend you read the article in full. 13-minute read" 🤦‍♀️)

We thought: it's 2022! Surely there must be a better way?

How it works

Our robot alter ego Mr. Travel harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to do two things 🤖

  1. Create a simple summary of what's covered by each travel insurance policy, and how independent experts like Which? and Fairer Finance rate it 💡
  2. Summarize the latest customer reviews from platforms like Trustpilot, Google Reviews, and Feefo 👩‍🏫

That's it.

How TravelInsuranceReview.co.uk makes money

We're independent of the travel insurance companies we write about, and no one pays us to write any of the articles on the site. That said, if you click on a link to a travel insurance company's website and go on to buy, they might pay us some commission 🙏

Our lawyers told us to write this bit

We're a journalistic site and while we do our best to provide useful tips on travel insurance, we're not perfect – so bear in mind that if you act on information from the site it's at your own risk, and we can't accept liability if something goes wrong 🧑‍⚖️

By the same token, the site doesn't constitute financial advice. Make sure you do your own research to find travel insurance that works for your personal circumstances – or contact an independent financial adviser 🧑‍💼
